Questions And Answers
Question: What is the range, How far can people be apart?
Answer: Hi Paul, Range is dependant on the area the radio is being used and the surrounding landscape. Licence free PMR446 radios are only designed with an output power of 0.5Watts compared to 4/5 Watts with a licenced radios. This means coverage on PMR446 radios is greatly reduced and there is no exact figure on what coverage you can expect. If you have clear line of sight between radios they will communicate.
